There may be various reasons why your game is lagging.
Here, we'll suggest a few steps that should help you fix the issue.
Check your internet connection
- Ensure that your device is connected to a stable internet connection, either via Wi-Fi or using mobile data.
- Try opening a few other apps or websites to see if they load correctly. If they do not, you may need to troubleshoot your internet connection.
Close and restart the app
iOS | - Swipe up from the bottom to the middle of your screen and hold or double-click the Home button to access the App Switcher.
- Swipe left or right to locate the game app, and then swipe up on the app preview to close it.
- Restart the app by tapping on its icon on the home screen or in the app drawer.

Android | - Open the Recent Apps screen by swiping up from the bottom of the screen and holding your finger in place.
- Swipe left or right to locate the game app, and then swipe it off the screen to close it.
- Restart the app by tapping on its icon on the home screen or in the app drawer.

Repair the game, clear the app cache and data
- Open the game's settings.
- Click "Repair the game," then Confirm.
- The game will redownload all patch files, which may take a while.
If this doesn't help, try clearing the cache another way:
iOS | - Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage.
- Find the game app, tap on it, and then tap Offload App to remove the app without deleting its data.

Android | - Go to Settings > Apps > Total Battle > Storage.
- Tap Clear Cache to remove the app's cache data.

Update the app
iOS | - Open the App Store.
- Tap on your profile icon at the top of the screen.
- Scroll down to view pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an individual app to only update that app, or tap Update All.

Android | - Open the Google Play Store app .
- In the top right, tap the profile icon.
- Tap "Manage apps & device." Apps with an update available are labeled "Update available."
- Tap Update.

Restart your device
iOS | - Press and hold the power button until the "Slide to power off" option appears.
- Slide the button to power off your device, and then press and hold the power button again to turn it back on.

Android | - Press and hold the power button until the "Power off" option appears.
- Tap "Power off" and then tap Restart to turn your device back on.

Uninstall and reinstall the app
iOS | - Press and hold the game app icon on the home screen until it starts to shake.
- Tap the "X" button in the top left corner of the icon to delete the app.
- Open the App Store, search for the game app, and then tap Get to download and install it again.

Android | - Go to Settings > Apps > Total Battle.
- Tap Uninstall to remove the game app.
- Open the Google Play Store, search for the game app, and then tap Install to download and install it again.
